On this page
Before you start
Free includes email, phone and enquiry forms, interest fields, consent and linear screens. Pro adds quiz questions, conditional paths and different results. WooCommerce product results need Pro and WooCommerce.
This reference explains the controls; use Create a quiz for a complete task or split a signup into screens for a linear form.
Choose the right question type
| Setting | What it means |
|---|---|
| Choose one | The visitor selects one answer. Use for a single preference or a starting point. |
| Choose several | The visitor can select multiple answers. Test overlapping conditions when several choices apply. |
| Short answer | The visitor enters text. Use when fixed choices cannot express the answer. |
Answer required prevents continuing with an empty answer. A required question is still skipped when its screen is not on the visitor’s path.
Choice labels are what visitors read. A choice’s saved value identifies the answer and can be different from its label. Check saved values before mapping answers to another service.
Set contact collection and consent
A question answer is not an email or SMS subscription. Add the appropriate contact screen when you need those details, and describe what the visitor is agreeing to.
| Setting | What it means |
|---|---|
| Required contact details | Must be completed on that path. If the result is shown afterward, test that the result stays unavailable until the required submission succeeds. |
| Optional signup | Offers another signup the visitor can skip. Keep the first completed action separate from this optional step. |
| Consent checkbox | Edit its wording and link in the element’s Content settings or the screen’s consent controls. Make the purpose clear for the relevant channel. |
| Destinations | Choose local storage or a compatible service for each capture. Question routing does not choose an email provider. |
See optional signup and fields, buttons and success messages for those controls.
Read routing and result settings
| Setting | What it means |
|---|---|
| Where visitors go next | Sets the default next screen and answer-specific lines. Specific lines are checked in order. |
| Only if | Controls whether a particular screen applies to the visitor. |
| Follow-up group | Can ask every matching follow-up one at a time before continuing. |
| Result conditions | Checks specific results from top to bottom. The first match wins. |
| All other answers | The final fallback result for an unmatched path. Give it useful wording. |
| Result link | An optional destination for the main result button. A blank link means no main link button. |
| Products | Adds a separate set of WooCommerce product cards to that result. |
| Result timing | Show immediately after the questions or after required contact details. |
Check the effect of a change
Changing a question type, removing a choice or deleting a screen can affect conditions elsewhere. Review the references the editor identifies, repair them, then test every affected path.
Use Preview to check the draft’s screens and answers. Publish and test the actual page to verify capture, product actions and delivery. Anonymous completions do not populate the saved-answer report in the same way as submitted contact records.
