My inline campaign or locked content is missing

Check placement, publication and page rules before troubleshooting an inline form or content lock.

On this page

Before you start

Manual inline forms are included in Free. Automatic insertion and content locking require Pro. Identify the campaign, the actual page URL and the placement method under Display rules → Where does it show?.

Test the published page in a fresh private window. An editor preview does not prove that a block, shortcode or automatic insertion point exists on that page.

Check manual placement

  1. Confirm the campaign uses Inline form and is published.
  2. Choose Manual placement if you are embedding it with a block or shortcode.
  3. Check that the page contains the WConvert block with the correct campaign, or the exact shortcode copied from this campaign.
  4. Update the WordPress page as well as publishing the campaign.
  5. Check page exclusions, audience, dates and visitor history. An embedded location does not make every visitor eligible.

A shortcode displayed as literal text often points to how it was inserted or whether its plugin is active. Use a Shortcode block or the editor’s supported shortcode area. See manual inline placement.

Check automatic insertion

No form on a short articleCheck the paragraph number and If there are fewer paragraphs. Don’t show it on that page intentionally inserts nothing.
A different inline campaign appearsReview other matching automatic campaigns and their Priority. A manual placement takes precedence.
The page is built with a custom layoutConfirm it exposes the expected content area. Use manual placement for a controlled location when necessary.
A product-page position is missingAfter the product summary is for classic WooCommerce templates. Use manual placement for a block product template.

Follow automatic insertion for a matching-page and short-page test.

Check content locking

For a lock, confirm Pro is active, the selected campaign is published and the placement method is Content lock. Use one lock per page.

  • WConvert lock from here covers the rest of the article after its divider.
  • WConvert content lock wraps only the selected section.
  • The classic shortcode needs both opening and closing tags around the actual content. Replace the sample ellipsis.

A visitor who already signed up can retain access for 30 days in that browser. If the form cannot load, the content stays readable. These can explain a missing lock without a styling defect.

Verify the repair

  1. Publish the intended campaign settings and update the page.
  2. Use a fresh private window and open a matching page.
  3. Confirm the form’s position, or that the intended section is covered by the lock.
  4. For a lock, complete a controlled signup and confirm the section becomes readable. Check the saved submission separately.
  5. Repeat on mobile and on a non-matching page.

If it still fails, collect the page, campaign, placement method and diagnostic explanation for support. See display diagnostics for checking eligibility.
