Capture more than an address

Choose a destination field for the name. Map additional answers to supported text fields or selected interests to boolean fields.

Add context without a reset

Keep existing details by default or update mapped fields. The connection does not change subscription status or remove other list memberships.

CONNECT ONCE. REUSE IN YOUR CAMPAIGNS.

Choose what matters.
Connect it to Mailtrap.

Connect an API token with access to your Mailtrap account and contact lists. Choose the list and name field, then map the remaining answers in your campaign.

  1. Connect your Mailtrap account

Add a Mailtrap connection in WConvert Settings → Connections & destinations. Use a token for one account with access to its contacts and lists.

  2. Pick the list and name field

Choose one existing Mailtrap list and where the captured name should go. Decide whether to keep existing details or update mapped fields.

  3. Map the interests that matter

Select the destination in your campaign and map supported text or boolean fields. Review the signup wording and test the contact record before publishing.

Destinations are reusable. Changing a shared destination affects the campaigns using it.

AFTER THE HANDOFF

Contact + selected list

The name and mapped answers accompany the new marketing contact.

This is the Contacts connection

WConvert adds the contact through Mailtrap’s Contacts API. It does not configure SMTP, send a test email to a sandbox or send a newsletter itself.

Illustrates connection behavior. No data is submitted or sent.

Mailtrap’s custom fields guide
What is included in this integration?

WConvert Pro can add contacts to a chosen Mailtrap list and send configured contact fields. This is a Contacts integration, not a Mailtrap SMTP or Email Sandbox setup. Mailtrap service charges are separate.

Which token should I use?

Use a Mailtrap API token associated with one account that can access contacts, lists and fields. WConvert checks access during setup; a token exposing several accounts is not accepted for this connection.

Where does the name go?

The destination lets you choose an existing text field in Mailtrap. The captured name is sent as one value, not split into first and last names.

Can I update an existing contact?

Yes, with Update mapped fields enabled on the destination. Otherwise the existing details remain unchanged and a marketing signup adds the selected list. Other list memberships and subscription status are preserved.

Can I use this to manage unsubscribes?

No. The connection does not change subscription status. Manage subscription choices, eligibility and any confirmation workflow in Mailtrap. Capturing a lead is not proof of permission or email delivery.

Are enquiries added to the marketing list?

No. A campaign configured for an enquiry can create a contact or update mapped details if enabled, but it does not add the selected marketing list.
